An heirloom Porcelain hardneck from northern Germany, and one of the most cold-hardy garlics grown. Large, white-wrapped bulbs with 4–6 jumbo, easy-to-peel cloves.
Flavor: Strong, hot and spicy raw, rich and nutty roasted.
Growing: Vigorous, dependable, and very cold hardy. Plant October–November for a July harvest, with scapes as a spring bonus.
Storage: Keeps 6–8 months in a cool, dry, dark spot. Don’t refrigerate.
Grown in Corvallis, Oregon. Ships October–November while supplies last.
